| Michelle called and woke me up at 9:30 this morning. We left at 10:30 and went to the bank, breakfast, Towne East and then her house. I got a shirt from Hollister, a purse from American Eagle, and my ears double pierced. Good day. She took me to see her kinda new house. I had never been there before. It's nice! As we were on our way back to my house her car radio went off, her doors wouldn't lock, the windows wouldn't move, and the speedometer quit working. My grandpa took a look at it and we determined it was a fuse. So my mom and I took her out to 21st and Webb to her aunts house where all of her family was becuase we didn't want her driving her car if something was wrong, especially on K-96.
I got my glasses finally. I kinda like them. They aren't too bad and things will get better once the teasing stops I suppose.
Anywho. We talked to the maintance people with the housing department and were informed that the basement of our house can't be used as a sleeping area! Excuse me?! I guess it's becuase of city code or some crap like that. So....They said that there are plenty of other open spaces to be used as a bedroom. The only other spaces we saw were the dining room, the kitchen, and the living room. Can't exactly live i the kitchen and don't want to live in the living room. The only other place is the dining room. | | |
| I am officially falling apart. I went to the eye doctor today for my one year exam and came out with bad news. A few years ago we had discussed the possibilty of me getting refractive surgery on my eyes because they were getting so bad. Well, I found out about a contact that is like the surgery but it flattnes your cornea while you sleep and then you have perfect vision during the day without anything. They wanted to put me in those to see if they worked. Well, I can't get those becuase it only corrects vision up to 400 and I am at 475 and still getting worse. We are hoping it will level off once I reach 500 or so. SO we started talking about surgery instead. It was my last hope for good vision. Nope, can't have that either. The eye is 11 mm in diameter with the cornea taking up 4-6 mm of that. So that leaves 5-7 mm of white clear fluid. Well, there is not supposed to be anything in that white clear fluid and I have blood vessels in 2 mm of it. BAD NEWS. Basically, my eyes are not getting any oxygen and that is their way of getting the oxygen they need. So, they put me in a 30 Night & Day lens that you can wear all night and all day without taking them out. Nope, I can only wear them for 6 hours a day. Basically, I can only wear them to dance. But, these contacts don't have astigmatism correction which gives me headaches so they want me to take Ibuprophen, which I can't. So, when I do anything in my contacts that strains my eyes I have to wear reading glasses and deal with the headaches. My glasses are kinda cute I guess. They have a prism and a bifocal but of course they couldn't do a no-line bifocal because I refuse to wear huge frames and the lenses are already freakin thick. Ugh... | | |
| Yeah, I decided to update again. A lot has happened. I recently got braces. Eww!!! Now, I no longer look 16, I look 14 or 15. Isn't that wonderful? I'll be 19 in 2 months and I look like I'm turning 15. I'm almost a junior in college and it seems like I should be in 10th grade or something.
My little cousin Colby is having 2 surgeries in the next couple of weeks. He;s only 3 years old. The first one is this week. He is having a probe insterted into his lungs and nose. Every time he eats or drinks there has to be s small button pushed. They are trying to get his asthma and reflux under control. The other is a reconstructive surgery on his male reproductive organ. It's shaped wrong, so I'm told. I don't know. I feel so bad for him. He's too young to go through all of this.
I've recently begun wearing a yellow wristband which says LIVESTRONG on it. I played with one at work last night for about 3 1/2 hours and had to give it back to its rightful owner when I left. He wouldn't let me leave with it. So, I decided to go out and support the Lance Armstrong Foundation myself by purchasing one. The rightful owner of last nights wants the royal blue Nike rubberband they had had last year and I just so happen to have one so I said he coud have mine. I found it today and put it on so that I wouldn't forget it the next time I see him, which won't be until Friday unless he works Wednesday, which he usually doesn't. But, since I've been wearing it I don't want to give it to him. Hmm...should I or shouldn't I? He'll see me wearing it come Friday and I'll break down and give it to him, I'm sure, especially if he doesn't cut his hair. It's so hott!
Ballet was canceled for the evening due to power outages at the University. Darn. Actually, I got a wake-up call at 8:30 this morning from Miss Sharon wanting me to call people to let them know that classes were canceled. Ugh...
Okay, that was a very long entry for today. Not that anyone really reads this anyway.
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July.

| So it's been about 6 1/2 months since I've updated this. I started a live journal thanks to Victoria back in December I do believe and I neglected my xanga. No one missed me, so it's alright I suppose. I am mainly doing this for the marvelous Liz.
The foot is no longer broken, but it took awhile to heal. I now have tendinitis in the posterior tibius tendon. It hurts really badly sometimes.
I am still dancing my little heart out and was ready to give up until earlier today when Liz convinced me that everything happens for a reason and God does have a plan for me.
I'm moving out of my house on Aug. 1. This could very well be a mistake, but I don't care. I'm DOING it! I'm moving in with 5 other girls into a house that is campus owned. It's a pretty large house and I get the big bedroom. YAY! That's exciting, let me tell you.
My first year at Friends is over and I loved it. It is nothing like High School.I have made the most wonderful friends and am having a great time. Sure I pulled some all nighters but that's just becuase I procrstinate way too much.
Well, that seems like a pretty good entry for the first time back. Maybe I'll continue to update, maybe I won't. Nobody reads this anyways!
